Get the Triangle advantage!

  • Networking

An important part of finding employment (as an intern, at graduation and years later) is networking with other professionals in your field. Triangle obviously is a better source for this networking among engineers than any other college organization or living unit. Members often get job leads from internet postings from Triangles that know of job openings. Membership in Triangle is a very helpful item to include on your resume. Sometimes the job interviewer or co-workers are Triangle alumni.

  • Location, Space, Cost

Our Fraternity House at 519 N. 16th Street is in the heart of Greek Row Our house has the capacity for 64 men and we have been that size in the past. We look forward to growing into our new chapter home. Our rooms are comparable to most other fraternities and never more than 2 men to a room.. Our dining room and living room are among the largest of all fraternities. The cost of living at Triangle is thousands of dollars less than the dorms and below most other fraternities.

  • Focus

The organization is designed for engineering students and other STEM majors. You can easily get help for your academic work. Every member is in a technical major and is willing to help. We curate a database of who took what courses previously. Often a person that took the class the year before can help with questions you have about class content or even which professors are best for which classes..

  • True Brotherhood

Triangle has a national policy against hazing. It is the only national fraternity of our size that has never in its history had a major insurance claim because of hazing or alcohol. Every member and pledge is treated with respect and dignity. Our organization is truly about being supportive of each other.

  • Nationwide

Triangle is the only national fraternity that limits it membership to Engineers, Architects and Scientists. Founded in 1907 with local groups of students now on 37 campuses, we have about 1100 student members and more than 18,000 living alumni members, many of whom are in a position to help you in your academic and professional career.

  • Engineering leadership

Being involved in student activities within the College of Engineering is where Triangle excels. The majority of leadership positions of ASME, IEEE, E-Week, etc have often been Triangle members. Extra-curricular activity involvement is an important factor to employers.

  • Lifelong

Triangle is more than just 4 years while you are in college. Triangle is about building lifelong friendships and brotherhood. Triangle ranks among the top 5 fraternities for alumni giving, which shows how they value the help they received as students. Triangle alumni are there to mentor you as you transition from school into your career. Every member of Triangle has a common bond, no matter their age.

  • Academics

STEM is tough. We know it, we understand it, we live it. Triangle is both a social and academic fraternity. We have the tools and resources to help ensure success in your academic career. We have in house study groups, upperclassmen who are familiar with your upcoming classes, a house library. Study hard, play hard.

  • Scholarships

Triangle members have access to over $75,000 in scholarships and zero interest loans per year through our national fraternity. We also offer local scholarships specifically for UNL members. And remember, our cost is already much lower than the dorms.

  • ...and even more. Are you interested yet?

There are many more reasons for joining Triangle and we would love to discuss these with you. As with all other fraternities, the recruitment (rush) process is a two-way street, not unlike getting hired in the corporate world. We need to get to know you as a person before we decide to issue an invitation to join, but it should be fun also. Your first step is to contact us by phone email, or application form on our website.
